Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated biscuits
1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 of a small onion, diced
1 heaping tablespoon of taco seasoning
1/3 cup of water
3 tablespoons of your favorite salsa
1/2 cup of shredded mexican cheese blend (or your favorite cheese)
2 tablespoons melted butter
Tools needed: Sautee pan, spatula, rolling pin, pastry brush, sheet tray, parchment paper
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Add your diced onion and the ground beef into a skillet over medium heat and saute together, crumbling the beef as you go, ensuring there isn't any pink left. Drain the fat and add taco seasoning.
Add the 1/3 cup of water and simmer until the taco seasoning thickens slightly. Add salsa and mix well. Set aside to cool.
Roll out the biscuits to get them nice and thin.
Add 1 tablespoon of cheese to each biscuit and top with 1 tablespoon of taco meat mixture.
Fold the biscuit over the filling and pinch seams well to seal.
Place on a parchment-lined pan and brush with butter.
Bake at 350F for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
